Bill Johnson is the Recipient of the Aquifer Advocate Award by the BSEACD

IMG 6956At its January 28, 2016, meeting, the Board of Directors of the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District selected its 2015 Groundwater Stewardship Award winners. The District presents these stewardship awards every two years to deserving individuals, organizations, companies or agencies that have invested exemplary effort towards the protection and conservation of water resources in the District.

Save Our Wells very own Bill Johnson received the Aquifer Advocate Award.

Bill Johnson
Bill Johnson has been a long-time supporter, participant, and advocate of groundwater science across many agencies. He has facilitated dye traces to better understand groundwater flowpaths, hydrologic studies along the Blanco to understand surface water and groundwater interactions, and weather studies to understand potential recharge and runoff. He helped lead the community discussion and support of groundwater protection in a previously unregulated portion of Hays County.
